Now when Australia is struggling against England in 4th Match of Ashes 2010, Australian captain has involved in needless lengthy confrontation with umpire Aleem Dar after an appeal for caught behind against Kevin Pietersen was rejected, firstly by Aleem Dar and then by the 3rd umpire after review. The available latest technology suggested that the decision of Aleem Dar was correct but Ponting was not agreed. This is not the first time when Australian captain act unacceptably, he has adopted such rubbish behavior 14 times before in has career, and had fined by the Match Referees. The question is why Ricky Pointing did so?
Infact Australia has enjoyed great time in the last 10 years. It was because of the performance of Adam Gilcrist, Glenn Megrath and especially Shane Warne. After the retirement of these legends now Australia is no more alone super power of the cricket world, therefore, Australian captain is in frustrations. Australian should realize that only they are not made for win, other nations can also when after performing well. Australian should make their team again perfect for win by hardwork. Only this is the right way to win the matches, otherwise unnecessary arguments with match official will not help them.
Even if Petersen wud hav bn out, this in no case is fair to argue with an umpire like this. Ponting should have been suspended for a couple of tests. The Match refree is Rajan Mudagalle and he loves the aussies. You will hear from the commentators from time to time about the level of respect the aussies have for him.
ReplyDeleteIf this was something which any captain from asia would have done. There would have been some serious actions against him as well as the team. But as always Aussies would get away with these kind of actions. Sad......

Time a match refree adjudicating the Australian matches was fair and willing to stand up to the aussies bad behaviour.
