Finally Shahid Khan Afridi has become the victim of Ijaz Butt. In his retirement announcement Shahid Khan Afridi said that he can’t play under a board which is not giving due respects to the senior players. He added that he tried his best to keep unite an incomplete team after match fixing controversy but as a captain he was not given due powers. He was never asked during team selection and board avoid to announced him as captain for long time, after every tour he was in confusion that he well play as caption or as player in next tour. He added that a group from Lahore was working against him and finally this group succeeded in removing him from captaincy even after wining one day series in West Indies. He said that he has taken this decision after consulting some senior players.
Full credit to Shahid Khan Afridi who keep the team unite and take it upto semi final in world cup 2011 in existence of conspiracies against him. Before him the conspiracies of this group finished the captaincy of Younis Khan. This group made Muhammad Yousaf on retirement. The question is who are in this group.
The head of this group is Ijaz Butt and the members are Intikhab Alam, Ilyas Ahmed, Aqib Javed and now the new entry Waqar Younis. These are members outside the field. Although in near past players avoided to become part of this group especially before the World cup 2011 in New Zealand but now the names of Misbah Ul Haq and Hafiz are in media as members of this group. Now look at the performance of this group.
What so far Ijaz Butt has done for the betterment of Pakistan cricket after his appointment. Pakistan loss all his matches in the tour of Australia in presence of Aamir, Asif and Yousaf. This was a time when the team was playing with full capacity but the performance was just like associated team.
After Australia series a terrible controversy came into existence when some players admitted that with the sponsorship of then Manager Yawar Saeed they had established a group against Younis Khan and took oath on Quraan that they will underperform until the removal of Younis Khan as captain. After this clear conspiracy inspite removing manager from his designation board banned Younis Khan from playing. After that conspiracy Match fixing blunder came into existence and it destroyed the bowling attack of Pakistan cricket. All these happened in the chairmanship of stupid Ijaz Butt but because of his political affiliation no single step was taken against him as he is relative of the Jail mate of our President Asif Ali Zardari.
When Intikhab Alam was coach, Pakistan loss all his matches to Australia and he indicated grouping in the team after the tour. In past on his reports Shoaib Malik was also removed from captaincy and now negative report regarding Shahid Afridi has also been prepared by him. After so many failures he will remain on his seat because he is friend of Ijazz Butt.
Aqib Javed is a person who was against Waqar Younis when he was not junior coach. So many times I heard him by saying that why Waqar Younis is traveling with the team, there is no need for Waqar Younis to be with the team and he must remain in the academies to train the young talent. It was the time when Waqar Younis was only bowling coach. After the tour of Australia Aqib blamed some players for match fixing and spoke against Younis Khan. But after blaming the players for match fixing he is still not even there but is also working with the same players to whom he blamed for match fixing.
Ilyas Ahmed is a member of selection committee, but its look like he is there only for working to select his Son-in-law Imran Farhat as team member. Every person who opposed the selection of Imran Farhat is his enemy. Unfortunately Shahid Afridi has also done so.
Waqar Younis is working as head coach. It is obvious fact that he was a pure bowler and never performed as batsman. One can accept him as blowing coach with team but in presence of Aqib Javed, who is actual bowling coach, what are the duties of Waqar Younis. He is there fore nothing. All these miseries are happening because of stupid thinking of Ijaz Butt. Waqar Younis has always opposed the appointment of batting coach because it will raised questions on the presence of him and Aqib Javed. His current attitude is harming Pakistan cricket badly. After that he even starting interfering in players selection process. He is considering himself more powerful then captain. Infact his duty is to only coach the players not selection matters. Finally his negative attatude led Shahid Afridi to the decision of retirement.
All these are happening because of our president who has appointed unable Ijaz Butt and this decision from our President destroyed the game of cricket also like other organizations.
