Vinod Kambli Doubts

According to Media Reports former Indian Batsman Vinod Kambli has expressed his doubts on the proceedings of Semi Final of  ICC World Cup 1996 when India and Sri Lanka were opponent. He said that I was surprised when our captain elected to bowl first on a good batting pitch after wining the toss. He added that after good start the way our batsmen thrown their wickets were unbelievable. I was stood on one end and on the other end wickets were falling very cheaply. He said that all these proceedings make me doubtful regarding the result but because of non availability of evidence I did not show my reaction.
This is not the first time when someone is realizing doubts regarding Indian team performance in some particular matches. In near past pictures of Indian Batsman Suresh Raina has been published in media on two occasions while accompanied by the bookies. Besides, former chief of ACU  Paul Condon      has also stated that beside Pakistan some other teams are also involved in Match Fixing. Bookie Mazhar Majeed has also named some other teams and players for match fixing.
Now what this existing situation demands? Here ICC and cricket boards especially BCCI has to decide to protect “Cricket” or to protect their “Players”. The current attitude of BCCI and ICC is in favour of protecting players rather then protecting “Cricket”. What would be the result of this unfair attitude of BCCI and ICC in future? It is obvious that one day cricket fans will consider all the matches as drama and resultantly this will reduce the interest of cricket lovers in cricket and cricket will become unpopular day by day in the world of sports. If this expected worst scenario is acceptable to BCCI and ICC, then they have to continue the current policy of protecting criminal players and if the want to control the situation and protect “Cricket” from corruption, then have to take equally strict action against all players regardless keeping in mind the country to whom the player belong.
